OCTOBER 29th

Our casual droP-IN Dinner at Mica’s Mountain Kitchen from 6PM until 9PM should you be arriving into town early or are local.

Attire: Casual. Jeans, sweaters, or anything you feel most comfortable in!

OCTOBER 30th

Our WELCOME DINNER AT OAK STEAKHOUSE WHICH IS THE ON-SITE RESTAURANT AT SKYLINE LODGE.

Attire: Mountain Cocktail - Short or mid-length dresses, suits, or similarly dressy attire. 

OCTOBER 31ST

OUR WEDDING CEREMONY AND RECEPTION AT MAX’s FAMILY’S PRIVATE RESIDENCE.

Attire: Formal - Long dresses, suits, or similarly formal attire. Please wear comfortable shoes, as there will be walking, including some uneven terrain and hills. We strongly discourage heels. ADA accommodations will be provided for guests who benefit from mobility support. The weather may get chilly, so we also recommend sleeves, shawls, or jackets/coats for the brief ceremony.  As our wedding is on Halloween, we welcome elements of theatricality, camp, and spookiness! That said, this is not a costume wedding. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us to discuss your plans. 

November 1st

Our small Sendoff Brunch at Skyline LODGE for those who may be interested in saying Farewell.

Attire: Casual. Jeans, sweaters, or anything you feel most comfortable in!

WE ARE ENCOURAGING ALL OF OUR GUESTS TO EITHER STAY AT SKYLINE LODGE OR HAMPTON INN. THESE ARE THE TWO HOTELS THAT WE WILL BE OFFERING SHUTTLE SERVICE TO AND FROM. IF YOU CHOOSE TO BOOK AN AIRBNB IN THE AREA, PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU WILL NEED TO COMMUTE TO ONE OF THE HOTELS TO BOARD THE SHUTTLES AS THERE WILL BE NO ON-SITE PARKING AT OUR WEDDING DAY LOCATION.

SKYLINE LODGE

Skyline LOdge is a 4 star boutique hotel. We have secured a full hotel buyout so we will have the entire place to ourselves. There are a limited number of rooms available so we suggest booking your rooms as soon as possible. This is also the location where our welcome dinner will take place, making it a convenient location to stay to be near the action. WE WILL BE PROVIDING ROUND TRIP TRANSPORTATION FROM THIS HOTEL ON WEDDING DAY.

HAMPTON INN

HAMPTON INN IS A COST EFFECTIVE OPTION FOR GUESTS WHO ARE MORE BUDGET CONSCIOUS. WE WILL BE PROVIDING ROUND TRIP TRANSPORTATION FROM THIS HOTEL FOR BOTH OUR WELCOME DINNER AS WELL AS OUR WEDDING DAY.

REGISTRY

Many of you are traveling from out of state to celebrate with us in NoRTH CAROLINA, and your presence means the world to us. FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ASKED ABOUT A WEDDING REGISTRY, PLEASE CLICK HERE.

ALL THE ANSWERS

  • The Asheville, North Carolina airport (AVL) and the Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina airport (GSP) are both about 1.5 hours from Cashiers. The drive from Asheville to Cashiers, is beautiful, scenic and is our recommended route.

  • We encourage out of town guests to rent a car and/or carpool if flying in. Uber and Lyft are not available in this area, and cabs are extremely limited and difficult to schedule. Additionally, if you are not staying at Skyline Lodge or Hampton Inn, you must carpool to a shuttle at one of those two locations for Saturday's festivities. 

  • The dress code for Friday's Welcome Party is Cocktail Attire. The dress code for Saturday's Ceremony and Reception is Formal Attire. As our wedding is on Halloween, we welcome elements of theatricality, camp, and spookiness! That said, this is not a costume wedding. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us to discuss your plans.

  • Due to capacity restrictions at our welcome dinner location and the intention of hosting an intimate wedding day, we kindly ask that you refer to your save the date and invitation envelope to determine if you are permitted to bring a date. If you are permitted, your envelope will either have the guest’s name listed or it will indicate that you are permitted to bring a guest. Thank you for understanding!

  • We love your little ones, but we kindly ask for our wedding weekend to be an adult-only celebration. Thank you for your understanding!

  • Please refer to the two above hotel recommendations. These are the only two locations where we will be providing round trip transportation to wedding weekend festivities.

  • If you are a hotel guest, you will have parking on site. If you are not staying at Skyline Lodge, then we recommend boarding the shuttle at Hampton Inn as parking at Skyline for non-hotel guests is limited.

    On wedding day there is no on-site parking so in order to attend the wedding, you will need to board the shuttles from either Skyline Lodge or from Hampton Inn.
